BIOGRAFIAE OPERE

Cuginodi Allason Ernesto fu impiegato al Ministero della Guerra, ma nel1867 abbandonò l’impiego per dedicarsi esclusivamentealla pittura. Fece gli studi all’Accademia Albertina di Torinosotto il Gastaldi ed il Perotti. Si perfezionò nel paesaggiocol cugino Ernesto. Nel 1869 espose alla Promotrice di TorinoDintorni di Sangone; nel 1873 espose pure In agguato; nel 1875 Ilsalvataggio, nel 1878 Tra gli scogli, ora al Museo di Belle Arti diNizza; nel 1881 I selvaggi; nel 1882 / primi raggi del sole sul MonteBianco; nel 1883 Marosi; Mattino; Il Gran Cervino; e nel 1891 AlteAlpi. Nel Museo Civico di Torino trova., Episodio della persecuzionedei Valdesi•’ Primi solchi; V. Ma un titolo non conosciutonell’arte del paesaggio è dato da un’infinitàdi studi dal vero, da lui quasi mai mostrati, ricchi di elementisuperiori, quali la sapienza e il gusto della composizione, ildisegno eroicamente paziente, la tecnica semplicemente efficace e ilcolore eccellente.
